National Tribal Dance Festival, Raipur, Chattisgarh
India is a country of art and culture since hundreds and thousands of years ago. Starting from the ancient Bhimbetka to till date, art and dance has been an integral part of life of an common Indian. There is a good news for art and dance lovers. For the first time in India, the government of Chhatisgarh is going to organize a three day extravaganza, “National Tribal Dance Festival” in it’s capital city Raipur from 27-29th December, 2019. In the festival tribal dance groups from almost all the states and union territories of the country and some neighbouring countries too will participate. The detailed schedule is yet to be announced.
The festival will be observed at three venues i.e. at Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium Budha Talab, Raipur; Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Outdoor Stadium Budha Talab, Raipur and at Science College Ground/Auditorium, GE Road, Raipur. The tourists apart from watching the fabulous dance performances can also purchase various handicraft items specially tribal bell metal artefacts, tribal ornaments etc.

Chhattisgarh is a beautiful state located in the central part of the India. It is easily approachable by train, air and by road from almost all parts of the country. Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur (RPR) has direct connectivity with almost all the major cities of the country. Raipur railway station (R) is on South Eastern Central Railway on Mumbai Howrah route and is well connected by train services. National Highway No. 6 passes through Raipur.
